Blacksheep: Shelby

Hey all. Registration has opened for all Blacksheep Milsim events, including OP Blacksheep: Shelby. I am considering leading a squad, but need numbers. We would be on Bravo company and would be wearing Multicam. I know this is hella early but we need to start getting a list of who can go. I want to go to this OP with a team that is more cohesive than our last squad, i.e. MS-TAC sticks together if possible. Anyone interested post in this thread and we can see what happens.

It was a blast last year, hopefully I won't go to sleep for 6 hours this time...

We have brandon and Half noob from DSA interested in going. Both were on our squad for last OP. I've also contacted Harrison, no response yet from him. Sal also wants to go. I would really like to have Ellis available to go, as we could really use a confirmed SAW gunner.

I would defiantly be interested in going, but its going to depend on my work schedule.

My buddy Tom from the Army is also wanting to go. He and a team just got back from Broken Home III.

Alright, I've got a pretty positive response for this. Here are the bare minimum requirements for going. You must have Multicam. You also must have midcaps. These aren't my requirements, these are Blacksheep's. You must match your squads uniform or you don't play. Showing up on the field with high-caps will probably get you pulled off as it destroys the purpose of having a SAW gunner in your squad. If you're serious about going I suggest you get these taken care of, and we can take care of any more specific items when we're all back at State in the Fall. If you have any questions, post them here.

Also, Harrison got back to me and he is a GO. I'm hoping he can return as one of our two SAW gunners, Ellis being the other one (if things turn out right for him to go). And Elijah, tell Tom he is more than welcome. His experience would be a good addition. I'm not sure about any additional players other than him and the ones I have talked to or we'll run into the same problem we had last year with too large a squad to operate efficiently.

Roger that. He actually earned a permanent position as a squad leader for Broken Home, so he might be able to serve as your second or something if he comes. At the very least, I'm sure he can give you pointers if you want.

That would be much appreciated. He'll definitely get command of any secondary fireteams if we decide to do that, or just be a lead element when we enter multiple story buildings.

Heck yeah we do. I'm kinda salty about our loss to Alpha last time, so I'm going to push extra hard to kick as much tail as we can this time.

So apparently American Milsim decided to come to the south as well. They're hosting an OP at Shelby on 19-21 of September. I don't think their ruleset is as strict as Blacksheep's, and the price is $135. I'm not saying we should go, I'm just saying another option just opened up. No matter what we decide, this will not take the place of Shelby, so if you can only do one, make it Shelby, as that will be priority 1. Talk to me and we can discuss it. The way I see it, if you can spend the extra dough, we might be able to make two national level events this year.

Alright gents! Here are basic instructions to register for Blacksheep. If you were one of the ones in on the discussion of going. You have to go to blacksheepmilsim.com and click on EVENTS. Click on Operations, and Shelby is the only option. You will register for Bravo Company Platoon 1, Squad 3. You will also have to make a profile on the blacksheep page if I'm not mistaken, but that is pretty easy.
