| Decided to try and put my new spring in. Got the mechbox open without much trouble but I can't put it back together. Home alone so I don't have an extra set of hands. I can barely compress the spring... barely but I can do it. However, the gearbox won't snap back together. The front where the air nozzle is fits fine, the back where the piston head is fits fine, the top where those sets of screws are fit fine, but but the bottom rear where the gears are is being blocked by something. That and the fact I can't get the trigger to stay put while keeping tension on the spring trying to put the gearbox together makes me want to wrap the WHOLE DAMN THING in Thermite tape and slag it. | |

| I give up. I'm about to take all the new parts out of it and throw the thing away. I had to go outside with a quarter stick of dynamite and vaporize something. There is no smiley I can put in here to express my emo raging. | |

| Gearboxes are a horribly difficult thing to deal with at times... hence why I recommended you let one of the veterans take it apart for you. Sorry | |

| some guns are a pain even without going into the gearbox, others will NEVER be the same after you tear into it. Your best bet is to only upgrade it when it breaks. | |

| Well don't blow it up or anything haha. Worst case just wait till fall when one of us can look at it. If you lived near the coast I would more than happily look at it for ya but I won't be in starkville till sometime next fall.
Also, if you end up deciding to trash it let me know and I might give ya some money for it for parts haha. | |

| Morgan, just a suggestion i have a similar problem when i open my m15, when the gearbox can not close any more, i use a dental pick to align the anti reversal latch with it's hole, that is probably what is causing the box not to fit down on the bottom left.
As to the other problem with the trigger spring, i leave the spring sticking out the bottom of the gearbox until i have all the screws started, and before tightening the screws, i raise the spring up into the gearbox with a small screwdriver.
Hope it helps, if not, i live in new albany, and will be happy to work on it for you.
(either meet up, or drop the parts in a small priority mail box ($5 to ship it) and i will do it for you .
Later. 45 Bravo (Ian McKee)

| Got the box together finally but when I hook the battery up to the gun it doesn't shoot. I feel the wires get hot too. | |

| Hmm, something is jammed up, not letting the motor turn.
or the spring is just too heavy for the installed motor (not likely though).
I venture to say that something is probably not in there right.
The offer still stands.
