as some of yall have seen the bullets tend to curve off in all different directions after 150 ft or so. i was looking into possible hop up and barrel upgrades and this is what ive come across that i was planning on buying. http://www.airsplat.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=AC%2DUPI%2DMB%2DULTHU&eq=&Tp= -- thats the hop up that i have found not exactly the best quality but im on a lower budget and then http://www.airsplat.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=AC-UPI-AA-510-1&eq=&Tp= is the barrel its 6.02 and 510mm my current barrel is about 508mm i believe im trying to get this gun to shoot farther and straighter and would like any advice on this project and how to do it price range $60-$90

Something that we ran into with another A&K SR-25 that was in the club in the past was a bent barrel. Not the inner barrel, although that could be your problem, but the outer barrel was bent to one side. Next time you remove the inner barrel take a look down the outer one and see if it's straight.

If it is consistently shooting one direction it is either your hop up is off kilter or your barrel is bent. If the barrel isn't bent then you are in luck, because the hop up is an easy fix. We didn't find a replacement outer barrel last time we looked.

Well that changes things. If it's just shooting erratically then it's just a matter of changing the hop up bucking and using good ammo. I'm sure we've got an extra hop up bucking somewhere in the club, but if you want to be sure then buy a new one. Prometheus is among the best. Check with Ellis about flat hop. You might want to do that while you are replacing your bucking anyway.

If you still have your cleaning rod then we can polish your barrel.

If you want to get super accurate then wash your bbs. There are internet guides about washing them everywhere.

If you do one or all of those things it will solve your problem.

I have brasso which should be all you need as far as polish and barrel goes for now. A lot of stock barrels only need a little TLC to be great. I would use the brasso and your cleaning rod to get it nicely polished for free. Then if it still doesn't shoot like you want you can go buy a prepolished upgrade barrel.

We are not having a game this weekend its spring break. also if your looking at the madbull ultimate hopup because it stops bbs from falling out, don't buy it! that thing is nothing but garbage.

While I do like my Madbull hop, it has indeed given me a few problems over its time in my gun. Also, flathop is pretty cheap AND I'm probably going to do it to my gun sometime before the game.

I ended up getting the prometheus neo hop up with a matrix 2 piece bucking set and a Matrix Prometheus Type Steel Perfect Sniper 6.03mm Airsoft AEG Tight Bore Inner Barrel -- the hop up was pricy but i'm sure it will be worth it but i will most likely need help installing it if anyone wants to volunteer

heres my email:
I just want to sincerely thank you. The sr25k (K being the important part) barrel i ordered was 500mm (thanks for the suggestion) after a little research I found out that I need a 363mm barrel not 509 or 490. I found out just late enough to where it was too late to change my order and now I'm going to have to go through hell to get the 363mm and probably have to wait another 2 weeks to get Smile

My sincere thanks,
A grateful customer

1st mistake using airsplat. Don't return the barrel just yet it may still fit. I think your outer barrel may be long enough to cover it. if not a supressor should be able to.

Yup. I dropped Airsplat like a mobster dropping a rival in the river after I spent $80 on the best UPS shipping to return an item to them and they told me "it wasn't packaged properly," didn't refund the shipping, AND didn't refund/replace the gun (which was $300, BTW).

that sucks tactical ghost and i measured its gonna be about 4 inches outside of the barrel lmao so i might just get a supressor if its long enough but idk anyways wish me luck and definitely my last time using airsplat

only problem with the suppressor is that the flash hider is almost impossible to get off and i'm too afraid to take it off because i might break it trying to get it off any suggestions would be nice on that part because i hate the flash hider they gave me ive seen better flash hiders on walmart guns

Hot water, hairdryer, pliers. Companies these days REALLY don't want those flashhiders coming off.
