Ran across this while looking for information on AOWIII in November.

This Op is also October 1st but is near Meridian.

I'll probably be at this op along with michal and probably one other guy who yall haven't met yet. My IER-hop patch should be coming in some time this week, and I think I can get the tuning done in one months time, so I should have one very accurate rifle when its done.

Any of yall planning on hitting this OP?

I hope my IER-hop patch will be in by then, its been 2 and a half weeks and no sign of it. Just sent an email back to hunterseeker to see whats going on.

We need to get a count so I can update the hosts. I put MS-TAC down for a tentative 6. But lets get a count so we can update them.

I'm already on the list and have gotten my marching orders, I've been assigned section leader. Should be interesting being the ACTUAL leader of a squad, instead of spearheading every assault and attack. I hope my squads going to be nice and cooperative because I'm going to be one micromanaging leader.

Here, Gene has signed MS-TAC up for 6 slots so far. If we need more slots, we'll sign up for more. Just be sure to bring the $20 game fee when we go.

And remember, this game not only has some different game rules but it has strict cammo restrictions.

I signed us up for Ariana assuming that ya'll would be in your typical woodland:

Ariana Camouflage Patterns: OD Green, Woodland, Desert, Flora, Smog, VSR, Type 99, Type 03, Flecktarn, DPM, Duck Hunter, Tiger Stripe.
Corona Camouflage Patterns: Khaki, MarPat, ACU, ABU, MultiCam, Any Digital Variant, CadPat, Type 07, Berker, Raster, M90

But they are not allowing "bubbaflauge" or hunters cammo. Nor are they allowing anyone to wear solid black. So each person will need to make sure they have a full cammo set.

Some other rules:
The medic rules are something you should take note of.
Each person is to bring a piece of paracord(rope). knots are tied into it, and when you are to be healed the person must untie and retie the knots. After a certain number of individual "lives" you are not able to be healed. The at any point the team may request an medic evac(there are rules associated with that) at which time the team would reset all their "heals" and "spawn" as a team. Otherwise once the team is dead the team must go back and respawn as a team. (I am not sure what happends if a individual wants to respawn on his own).

I have played with these medic rules again this summer when I went up to mount doom for another AOW game. The knot things never wound up getting used, and mostly everyone just use the "count to 50"(it might be 100, can't quite remember) clause. There were utilizing respawn points at specific strategic locations(powerplant, monkey barrels, things of that nature) where you can evac to and gain more respawns(or at least all of us assumed so, on both sides) provided your team is in full control of the location, and if there were no major objectives under your control, its base respawn. We never had a full wipe on the ariana side this summer, so I didn't see any kind of med-evac.

Also: got my IER-hop patches in yesterday, going to install them Saturday, hoping for great results.

Edit: can someone bring some external parts from one of the club AK for me? Michal wants to use my AK without all the red flashy pain, and I need a spare top cover and set of hand guards to do it. They are quick to change out and I can get em right back to you afterwords.

Yea, I'm thinking we should carpool down their Saturday morning. Registration opens at 8am, so let's try to make it there for that. We can plan to leave between 6am and 6:30am. I think we'll need 1 or 2 vehicles.

Anyone want to volunteer to drive?

I plan on heading down home on friday so i wont be able to drive this time, but hunter if you want to carpool i would be up for it

sounds good phillipo, wont have anyone else going with me, michal and my other friend had other things to do. Though I don't know if our car can fit my 6ft long rifle case or not, I may just have to throw the scar in loose . I've got the hop up window cut into the barrel on it, and I've been working on tuning the hop whenever I get the chance, its still majorly over hopping and needs more work. If all else fails, I will be dropping it and switching back to the AK and rip people to shreds.
